Better is enabled by trust and respect Your day to day activities will involve meeting with a diverse group of stakeholders to comprehend and translate their needs into experience design solutions, represented as wireframes, prototypes, and high-level visual designs.
In this role, you leverage your end-to-end UX skills to conceptualize and execute product designs that shape the future of Western Union for many years to come.
You will be working with a small team of UX designers that is passionate about its work and the impact it has on our customers.
Projects range from blue sky to tedious updates on older systems that are slowly being phased out but we take on all projects with equal enthusiasm.
We love to challenge each other with new discoveries in tools, methods, apps, and just about anything that excites us as designers and tie that all into the work we do.
For a creative role like this, you have invested 5 to 9 years of your life perfecting your skills and can jump into new projects with ease.
When friends ask what you do all day, you say UX in reply, but Sketch, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Fireworks come into play as well.
You might have other tools you can’t live without so do we, and we always love to see how others tick. You’ve designed a few websites and apps in your time and you know your HTML+CSS well enough to build what you design or close enough to let an expert take over.
At the very least you like to keep up on what’s new and emerging in web and mobile design even if you’ve stopped banging out code yourself.
Previous experience of lean and agile working methodologies is also desirable.
