The Service Provider Network Systems (SPNS) Group is a global engineering, development, and product management team, comprised of approximately 3,600 talented professionals.
We develop software and solutions for our Access, Core, and Edge routing systems. Our worldwide customers include national and local carriers / telcos, video, cable, internet service, media, web and over-
the-top (OTT) service providers.
In this role, you'll be part of the SPNS PMO Team. Responsible to manage software projects for the Cisco access, routing and optical solutions.
Role will involve managing the software development, testing and customer support spanning with functional teams across globe.
Delivering the product to customer in achievable short time-frame meeting the program goals, ensuring quality, meeting the budget is the key to success in the role.
We are looking for motivated Program Managers contribute to the development of our next generation products.
Role & Responsibilities
Work with engineering teams to identify the steps required to deliver innovative solutions with quality;
Program manage the development of solutions involving cross functional teams such as Marketing, Hardware, Software, Test, Compliance, Manufacturing, Documentation, Technical Support etc.
Track and analysis project tasks to proactively anticipate challenges and problems, while always maintaining a solution orientation and a well-
balanced perspective around risks and escalations;
Maintain an up to date project plan that can be referenced at any time. Manage program budget. Develop complete and well thought out execution plans that incorporate sound contingency planning and risk assessments.
Lead meetings to resolve conflicts, facilitate decision making, and drive timely execution. Collaboratively interface with external teams to obtain mutual wins;
Work with management to develop complex plans with considerable inter-dependencies, including contingency plans for dealing with potential or anticipated obstacles and changes;
Keep goals and schedules highly visible in the organization to ensure that individuals and teams are driven to high levels of productivity.
Offer support in areas outside of one's own expertise at times to help a project succeed;
Having background of hardware system based designs and project lead / management experience with Multi-core / Network processor based hardware systems is a plus;
Overall 8-12 Years of working experience including 2-3 years in project / program management.
