You assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

You're a Sales Engineer with excellent technical, communication and organizational skills and previous experience in cloud platform and SaaS products, particularly communication and collaboration tools.

Your expertise and presentation skills will be on display as you engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud.

In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with the Sales team as a G-Suite subject matter expert to help customers get the most out of Google’s collaboration and productivity tools.

You will help existing and prospective customers understand the power of Google Cloud, explaining technical features and problem-solving any potential roadblocks.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Share in-depth G-Suite expertise to support the technical relationship with Google’s customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work and the coordination and prioritization of solutions impacting customer adoption of Google Cloud.
  • Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer / partner environments.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences and other related events.
  • Minimum qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience serving in the capacity of a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role (including working as a member of a professional services or systems engineering team).
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field.
  • Experience with on-premise and cloud based mail delivery, routing and filtering technologies.
  • Experience in mobile device management and relevant third-party integrations.
  • Experience with cloud security, including identity and access management (IAM), SSO, OAuth and 2-step verification.
  • Familiarity with Big Data, PaaS and IaaS terminology.
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to deliver a polished and professional business and technical pitch.
