Role of the Project Manager is to lead a single large project, or numbers of smaller standard projects and to take responsibility for the achievement of the agreed goals and objectives.
A Project Manager will use established project management processes. At times they will manage a sub-project as part of a large complex project or program under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager, Project Director or Program Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Accountable for the successful completion of project team deliverables on time, within budget, and according to specifications
Manage large IT projects consisting of team members that span across multiple technical domains including network, systems, security, datacenter, unified communicatons (IPT & CC), colbaloraton, applications, etc
Works closely with the client at all levels in the client organization
Develop & finalize integrated project plans, implementation schedules with internal & customer teams
Identify and secure resources necessary to execute the Project.
Manage all project related activities, ensure optimum utilization of resources and ensure all project phases are documented appropriately
Communicate weekly progress / status of projects to leadership and business units and all stakeholders
Idenitfy risks / issues , work out mitigation plans / remediation strategies for the projects
Facilitate customer steering committee & drive project meetings, track financials, provide status updates, idenitfy risks / issues , work out mitigation plans / remediation strategies.
Develop project plans, approach, RFP / RFI responses, cost estimates
Bachelors Degree in Engg or a related discipline.
5 years relevant PM work experience.
Minimum of 10+ years IT industry experience.
Candidates must be PMI-PMP or Prince II or PMP-ACP certified
Strong project planning, execution, monitoring, tracking and reporting experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong project management capability with deadline focus
Experience / deep technical knowledge desired on network, systems, security, datacenter, unified communicatons (IPT & CC), colbaloraton, applications, etc
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in managing multiple large scale projects
Demonstrated success at leading high performing project teams and working as part of a matrix organization
Exceptional problem solving capabilities
Ability to work effectively in a distributed work environment / self starter
Ability and willingness to travel
