As a software engineer in Sandvine’s Customer Success Engineering team, you will be part of a global team responsible for the end-to-end delivery and support of technical solutions to customers.
You will work closely with both colleagues and customers to design and implement custom software solutions. You will be involved in every part of the development process, from pre-sales requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing and deployment.
Be part of a team responsible for the end-to-end delivery and support of Sandvine technical solutions to a customer. The primary responsibility will be :
Design and implement custom software solutions for our customers
Maintaining and updating existing software solutions
Troubleshoot issues relating to delivered software
Assist colleagues in troubleshooting, design and requirements gathering
Work with Sandvine’s internal groups (Customer Success, Product Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Sales) to continuously improve, innovate and provide timely updates
What skills you bring :
BTech or MTech (or equivalent) degree in Computer Science
3 to 5+ years of relevant experience in programming.
Full competency in the scripting languages Python and Bash
Experience of working in Unix-based operating systems such as Linux, FreeBSD etc.
Experience in working with Java and Go
Experience in working with database design (Vertica / SQL / PostgreSQL)
Hands on experience in any source-control platform
Understanding of networking (specifically IP related technologies)
Experience in packet level debugging using Wireshark, tcpdump, tcpreplay or similar tools
Additional Knowledge and Skills
Basic Understanding of : Virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM)
Cloud architecture (OpenStack, AWS, Google cloud, AWS ), containers and orchestration concepts (Kubernetes, Swarm) and familiar with tools like Ansible, Docker, Jenkins
Exposure to and understanding of web application concepts like P2P, VoIP, WAP, MMS, RTSP
Basic Knowledge of modern web applications using Ajax and REST API’s will be advantageous
Understanding of end-to-end network call flows, as well as relevant technologies & protocols (DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, DHCP, RADIUS, DIAMETER, GRE, SIP, RTP, MGCP, H.323, RTCP)
