Because in our mission to be the contract intelligence platform of the world, we believe how we get there is as important as the destinationIcertis is looking for a Manager India Payroll, who will manage the end to end payroll operations for our growing presence in India.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for independently managing all day-to day payroll activities including co-ordination with the key internal teams as well as external payroll vendor to ensure an accurate and timely payroll on monthly basis.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.

  • Responsible for accurate and timely payment of applicable taxes and filing of related returns for TDS, PF, PT, LWF, NPS etc.
  • Providing inputs to HR for applicable statutory and regulatory returns.

  • Ensure timely input to the Banking / Treasury team for funding towards disbursement of salaries and tax payments.
  • Ensure appropriate and timely taxation of employee stock benefits & other Perks.
  • Maintain accurate month closing including Payroll Accounting, Monthly Payroll Variance Analysis, Payroll and related liability account reconciliation etc.
  • Guiding employees around Salary, Attendance, Deductions, Flexi Basket Components & Reimbursements, Investment Declarations etc.
  • Clarify employees’ queries with respect to salaries, TDS, Income tax proof etc

  • Coordinating for periodical actuarial valuation for employee benefits and valuation of stock benefits per the Indian Accounting requirements.
  • Coordinating with vendor for statutory dues remittance and returns filing.
  • Responsible for providing necessary information and explanations for internal and external audits
  • Maintain communication and strong relationships with the key stakeholders such as recruitment, HR teams to review cross-functional impact, and strategize the payroll operations accordingly.
  • Participate in various projects related to tax efficient compensation structuring, improving internal control processes, integration with HR systems etc.
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, incentives, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Experience requirement :

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience of processing payroll for 1500 + employees, related accounting and statutory compliance's preferably in a multi-national IT product company.
  • Hands-on knowledge of PF, NPS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, LWF, ESIC, minimum Wages, gratuity etc.
  • Advanced Excel skills with a strong background in analytics and metrics. Should be able to carry out analysis of large data sets in Excel to provide insights to the senior Management.
  • Ability to plan and execute multiple initiatives / activities while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to details and drafting business mailers.
  • Customer centric attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated, self-starter individual with a can-do attitude.
