KGS- Assistant Manager-Shared Services and Outsourcing Advisory

Role & Responsibilities

  • Delivering SSOA client engagements as an extension of the onshore team. Work directly with the onshore engagement lead from onshore / offshore on client deliverables
  • Typical engagements are about advising KPMG clients on one or more areas of the sourcing life cycle including but not limited to
  • Sourcing strategy
  • RFP preparation, business case support and evaluation activities
  • Commercial Assessments / Business Case
  • Shared services health check
  • Service Provider capability assessments
  • Contracting and negotiation support
  • Transition Planning including KT approach, scheduling, governance and resourcing as well as support for transition execution
  • Process Improvement and transformation
  • Collect and analyse client data to develop key performance metrics (KPIs) and use the same to build an industry view on trends, pricing models, performance, practices and approaches
  • Work with onshore teams to help create propositions for their markets and thus help differentiate the firm in the market e.
  • g. harvest IP / insights from the existing knowledge

  • Actively participate in practice development activities through engagement and support of focus areas established to increase practice capability, collateral and IP. This will include :
  • Support for market insight research, surveys and reports
  • Coordinating and supporting periodic knowledge management activities with the focus area lead
  • Providing the SSOA team with a greater insights and understanding of KGS propositions and capabilities
  • Refining the process to manage the demand and capacity for services to be delivered from KGS
  • Conducting benchmarking studies to determine external performance levels and trends in various BPO services and help the team to create a repository of BPO benchmarking data from KPMG client engagements and contracts across service lines
  • People management and development activities
  • The Individual

  • A minimum of 6-8 of years experience working with a Sourcing advisory firm or BPO service provider in a Bid management / Pre-sales role
  • Should ideally have experience in working on large outsourcing projects / deals for global clients in business process areas (Finance / Procurement / HR) with sound knowledge of one of the business processes
  • Strong experience in transition related activities including planning, knowledge transfer approach, stakeholder management, risk management, scope management, tracking deliverables, PMO, managing teams spread across geographies and cultures as well as other project management, for Shared Services or BPO engagements.
  • Strong expertise in RFP drafting, RFP Analysis OR Proposal response writing - having worked on multiple projects in this space
  • Experience in ITO would be a plus
  • Exposure to robotics and automation would be a plus
  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in financial modelling and business case analysis
  • Ability to articulate findings in a clear manner
  • Effective communication, presentation and networking skills
  • Experience of working in a global environment
  • Willingness to travel when required
  • Qualification

  • Postgraduate degree from a Tier 1 / Tier 2 institute
  • 6 - 8 years of experience with 4 years in Shared Services or BPO industry.
  • Selection process

  • 2 rounds of technical interaction with SSOA service line and a final round with the Partner of the onshore practice
