Our technology teams in India work closely with HSBC’s Global Businesses and Global Functions (GBGF) to help design and build services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely.

The teams also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include : DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

We work as agile teams with colleagues around the world from our main offices in the UK and Hong Kong to our regional sites supporting the IT environment at local levels.

Following extensive investment across our technology domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2020 and beyond, we are currently seeking an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Privileged Access Remediation and Control SME to join HSBC Technology

TheGCB6 IAM Privileged Access Remediation and Control SMErole sits within IT Infrastructure and Development (ITID), Identity and Access Management (IAM) Team and reports to the Privileged Access Control Monitor.

The ITID IAM function is a globally managed function that ensures HSBC IT infrastructure and applications are managed and run in accordance with industry leading best practices.

This is achieved through an IAM framework and toolset which measures, monitors and reports on compliance with standards and adherence to mandatory controls.

The IAM function executes access management processes and supports execution teams across HSBC IT. The IAM team’s primary purpose is to continuously manage accounts through all stages of the IAM lifecycle.

The IAM Privileged Access Remediation and Control (PARC) role supports both Global Business and Global Functions providing :

Subject Matter Expertise for Privileged Access Management across all managed platforms.

  • Prioritisation of account non-compliance remediation efforts.
  • Monthly control metrics and ad hoc reporting.
  • This role presents the opportunity to work in a busy and challenging environment. The team provides privileged access management process guidance and account non-compliance remediation support to maintain the risk position in line with the agreed bank risk appetite.

    The successful individual will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise for all matters relating privileged account compliance.

    Your responsibilities will include :

  • Providing support and expertise to IAM Management and IAM sub-functions.
  • Managing, reporting and analysing account non-compliance data.
  • Guidance and assistance for remediation activities driven by GBGF coordinators and account owners.
  • Interfacing with relevant IAM and key GBGF stakeholders.
  • Independently performing assignments to achieve stated objectives and resolve non-routine issues without appreciable guidelines from others.
  • Cultivating an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand.
  • Qualifications

    Requirements / Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications.

  • Proven Business Analyst skills.
  • Excellent data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel.
  • IAM SME knowledge of one or more of the following platforms :
  • Unix / Linux
  • Active Directory
  • iSeries
  • zSeries (Mainframe)
  • Sybase
  • A proven ability to gain IAM knowledge of unfamiliar platforms.
  • Experience working within an IAM function.
  • A flexible and adaptable style with experience of developing yourself and others.
  • Both spoken and written English communication skills with experience of adapting style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered.
  • Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
