About the opportunity

Department Description

The Finance Support Technology function provides systems development, implementation and support services for FIL’s Finance, Procurement and Treasury Team.

We support several functions spanning across Business Finance & Management Accounting, Financial Accounting & Analytics, Taxation, Global Procurement, Corporate Treasury, and several other teams in all of FIL’s international locations, including UK, Japan, China and India.

We provide IT services to the Fidelity International businesses, globally. These include development and support of business functions that underpin our financial accounting and decision making for global CFO Orgs, and we implement multiple systems including ERP platforms, home grown apps and third-party products.

We are system providers to key process lifecycles such as Procure to Pay (P2P / Global Procurement), Record to Report (R2R), Order to Cash (O2C), Acquire to Retire (A2R).

We also manage systems to enable cash management, forex trading and treasury operations across the Globe. We own warehouses that consolidate data from across the organisations functions to provide meaningful insights.

Purpose of the Role

This vacancy is for a highly motivated Analyst Programmer who can quickly troubleshoot the issues / bugs / service requests requirements from stakeholders and translate them into Oracle EPM (Essbase / DRM / PCMCS) Solution.

Candidate must be familiar with MDM process and its management.

The right candidate must be able to manage stakeholders, understand their requirements and keep himself updated with the product.

The right candidate will provide expertise in :

  • Providing Support to Business Users and Development Team for Oracle EPM solution / issues.
  • Good knowledge of Allocation rules and Essbase Processes in Oracle.
  • Good knowledge of DRM / DRG system to support MDM process.
  • Performing requirements analysis and Bug analysis.
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Serving as a liaison between stakeholders, users and Oracle Support Team.
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of change requests / requirements.
  • Communication on progress with all stakeholders.
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Product functionalities (Oracle Essbase, PCMCS & DRM)
  • Configurations / Hands-On, as per requirement on Oracle products.
  • Interacting with Business teams in case of new requirements or training.
  • Good knowledge of DRM / DRG process to support MDM process.
  • Must be aware of allocation process i.e. HPCM or PCMCS
  • Identifying Gaps in Oracle Solution w.r.t. Business Needs.
  • Bug & User Issue Resolution
  • Worked on Essbase Calc manager and possess detailed understanding of Calc Manager functions rules / formulas
  • Period Closing and Month end data load process.
  • Coordinating with Oracle Support and getting the issues and enhancements resolved.
  • Requirement Gathering for enhancements and Sign Offs.
  • Conducting UAT and securing Sign Offs.
  • Maintaining SLAs and resolving issues within them.
  • Flexibility to work in Canada / UK timings as per requirement.
  • Maintaining excellent relationship with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Issue tracking through JIRA and other FIL tools.
  • Communication on progress with all stakeholders.
  • Maintaining good relationship with Oracle Support team.
  • Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Overall 3 - 6 years of IT industry experience in Implementation / Upgrade / Support of Oracle Essbase, PCMCS / DRM / DRG and at least 3 years in Oracle products
  • Professionally qualified - B.E. / B-Tech / M.C.A.
