What will you be doing?

Specific 80%Level 2 incident managementParticipation in service reviews and post incident reviewsComplex issue triage, investigation and coordination to closure.

Data & Configuration changes execution.Batch scheduling changes (Bank Holidays etc)Identification of service improvements and stability activitiesComplex issue triage, investigation and coordination to closure including leading triage on major incident callsCollate data for Proactive Service Improvement Initiatives (does not include code changes) including trending of incidents, root cause and other MI to identify improvement actionsOwn and Drive data for Capacity / Performance Management On the ground interface for business / change teamsAd Hoc Reporting where appropriateReviewing of Implementation Plans & Release DocumentationOn call support and ad-hoc overtime as appropriateMaintain open and timely communication with relevant business, supplier and IT personnel, particularly Change the Bank development teamsDrive complex or major incident resolution, implement or coordinate higher scale changesWhat we’re looking for : Good understanding of Linux and cloud-hosting, ideally aPaaS / OpenShiftGood Understanding of JavaGood understanding of relational SQL databases preferably OracleITIL Foundation certificationKnowledge of monitoring systems and concepts of large scale monitoring (AppDynamics, Splunk, Elastic Stack / eSaaS)Ability to plan and manage own work effectively.

Ability to work at pace, under pressure, whilst maintaining quality.Flexibility to react effectively to changing priorities and to willingness to step outside of role boundaries to achieve results.

Skills that will help you in the role : Windows server skills.Breakglass and Logical Access Management concepts and experience.

Ability to pick up and take on new challenges, being able to assimilate information quickly.Understanding of risk and controls and how to manage them effectively.

Understanding of CMDB management and control.Effective communicator (written and verbal) at all relevant levels of the organisation.

Ability to plan and manage own work effectively.Ability to work at pace, under pressure, whilst maintaining quality.Flexibility to react effectively to changing priorities and to willingness to step outside of role boundaries to achieve results.

Where will you be working?Pune*Barclays recently announced the creation of a new world-class campus at Gera Commerzone located in Kharadi.

All Pune based roles will eventually start to move to this new campus starting September 2019. In the run up to that, during the course of 2018, there may be transitory movements of some roles to other temporary sites.
