Our Client is an Indian mass media company (News & GEC) and is one of Asia's largest TV network. They own a variety of television channels and radio stations in multiple languages.

As the National Sales Head - South Cluster , you will be responsible responsible for adding new clients across regions and directing the national sales efforts for the South Indian cluster channels while working in concert with the sales management team to grow our overall revenue. Key Responsibilities :

  • Identifying and driving national sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue goals
  • Responsible for the Sales leadership for the business including P&L, budgeting and reporting structure
  • Managing Inventory and rates to maximize stations revenue and share
  • Identifying and evaluating target industry segments, high-priority location / customer-clusters by generating regular insights about the location specific environment and customer shifts and initiating targeted action to achieve the plan
  • Translating the sales strategy into 1-yr and 2-yr service-level integrated operating plans - driving and achieving service-
  • level priorities and actioning from the same

  • Working and planning closely with multiple stakeholders design / technology to drive flawless execution of service strategy and structure
  • Implementing sales strategies for increase of market share and profitability on sustainable basis in line with Annual Business Plan
  • Accurately forecasting revenue for all stations for national and regional accounts
  • Directing the Sales team and establishing sales targets at national level and helping them in breaking the same geographically and with monthly targets
  • Developing a healthy investor database across regions
  • Focusing on increasing the Brand Equity - Marketing / Promotional Spend Effectiveness across regions
  • Managing and executing the Political strategies and business for the channels / stations

    Desired Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrable industry experience of 13 - 19 years in broadcast sales having scaled up business at a national level and having exposure in handling the South cluster(at least 4-5 years)
  • MBA preferred
  • Knowledge of South Indian languages is a great plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • High commercial acumen with strong client relationship management
  • Should be well organized, display a professional demeanor, exude high energy with great attention to detail
  • Drive and passion to roll up the sleeves and get the job done
