The Access Points team is currently comprised of 3 product lines : Lockers, Hub By Amazon and Pickup Points. Together, they form a network of 150K+ automated or attended locations, primarily in North America, Europe, China and Japan, where Amazon customers can pick up and return Amazon, and soon non-

Amazon, packages. In addition to retail customers, we also work closely with and build experiences for space partners who host or attend our products as well as the carriers / drivers who serve those locations.

The team is responsible for building solutions that provide a best in class pick-up and drop-off customer experience across the globe through the use of convenient, reliable, and secure Lockers and third party pickup points.

Our charter is to unlock and improve e-commerce for Amazon customers around the world for whom unattended doorstep delivery is not the preferred option.

These are the customers, typically city dwellers, who work late, travel often, live in apartments or neighborhoods with high package theft, or simply want to pick up or return their packages on their terms.

Our team is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager with a passion for innovation and building global, large scale distributed systems which will service hundreds of thousands of pick-

up locations worldwide and manage workflow for millions of packages. Our challenges include building geographical proximity solutions for customers to discover these locations, developing smart algorithms for real-

time capacity management of Lockers and pick-up points, developing and securing data and software running on Locker hardware, third-

party devices and mobile apps and implementing low-latency, high throughput services that interact with customers and mail carriers on a global scale.

As a TPM for Amazon Access Points you will be responsible for delivering complex and scalable software solutions for one of Amazon’s most strategic customer segments.

In this role, you will provide project leadership, anticipate bottlenecks, mitigate project risks, make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

You will provide technical leadership pertaining to how software applications are built and integrated into the existing Amazon ecosystems.

You will translate feature requests into technical specifications and influence design and architectural decisions. You will work with various software and business teams around Amazon.

com to identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals and align with long term product road maps. This position involves regular communication with senior management on status, risks and change control.

Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills and working with remote teams.

This role requires working with business teams worldwide, define strategy and requirements, and leading cross functional development teams from design through delivery, and managing the timelines for all supporting software and services to support the various platform projects.

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Expereince working with cross functional teams
  • Experience developing and delivering on project milestones
  • 5 + years of relevant work experience as a Technical Program Manager and / or Technical Product Manager in a software applications environment
  • Ability to fully engage with technical teams and business teams and effectively manage customer expectations and resolve conflicts that balance client and company needs
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units
  • Experience with agile or other program management methodologies
  • Masters degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline
