The Enterprise Risk team designs and builds high performance software systems and processes that identify and prevent security events and fraudulent transactions for Expedia Group and its partners.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer for our Platform Services engineering team, who can help us build technology solutions that improve our ability to detect and prevent eCommerce Fraud.
Our team delivers integrated software solutions that screen bookings to identify and mitigate fraud loss, globally across all Expedia brands.
You will build highly available systems that scale to hundreds of millions of transactions, use machine learning algorithms and smart techniques to detect and mitigate fraud world-wide.
You will be an important part of a growing team using the latest technology to protect our business, our customers, our business partners, and improve our customer experience, empowering millions of travelers to enjoy their perfect trip.
What you’ll do :
Collaborate with business and technical teams to solve complex problems
Design and Develop scalable, low-latency services and solutions
Create resilient, fault tolerant, highly available systems
Have a strong eye for the operational aspects of the platform like monitoring and alarming.
Influence engineering best practices within your Pod and across the Platform team
Who are you :
2+ years of experience in software development (SDLC) preferably on SOA
Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java preferably, Scala, Python etc.) and exposure to RBDMS / NoSQL solutions
Strong object oriented programming concepts and background in data structures and algorithms
Experience with automated testing, including unit, functional, integration & performance / load testing
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative and fast paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills as well as strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
