The Medical Lead India is accountable for leading the Indian medical teams and for providing a comprehensive and proactive medical service for supporting R&D, medical information, pharmacovigilance, market access and all relevant business functions as appropriate.

The Medical Lead India will be a key member of the CEETII medical team supporting the Medical Lead CEETII, as well as the communication between the WWMTs and the Indian medical teams.

The Medical Lead will also be a member of the Indian Operating Committee. Key Role Accountabilities : The Medical Lead India is accountable for :

  • Ensuring country medical activities are aligned with CEETII / Intercon / WW strategies
  • Implementing TA strategies and initiatives in line with the WW medical strategy
  • Planning and implementing high quality medical educational activities, enabling HCPs best understanding on the TAs
  • Supporting clinical trials
  • Building and strongly developing a high performing team of SAs, acting as a pool of talents for Intercon and other regions
  • Leading a field-based medical team with ensuring external focus and priority on high-quality customer interactions
  • Shaping the culture of the organization through coaching and counseling SAs
  • Working closely together with the CEETII / Intercon Medical Operations to maintain alignment across the region
  • Setting specific goals and metrics and actively and continuously communicates them across the organization
  • Actively promoting the culture of performance, innovation and constructive challenge
  • Ensuring strong medical and scientific knowledge, as well as continuous training of SAs
  • Being a role model of ethical and professional behavior
  • Monitoring compliance with all applicable BMS policies Role Qualifications : Medical Doctor or PhD in life science Working experience in India, Indian language knowledge Minimum of 8 years industry experience in clinical or medical affairs, experience in international environment would be an asset Demonstrated leadership and people management experience Demonstrated proven ability to develop, engage and retain top talent Ability to lead strategy development and execution Broad cross-cultural experience.
  • Ability to flex across different types of cultures, work, complexities, business situations and matrix partners Experience in performing effectively in a matrix, cross- functional and team environment Demonstrated use of communication and change management strategies / tactics to influence new ways of thinking and working.
