To learn more, visit ribbon communications.com. SUMMARY This position is responsible for new business sales along with the revenue delivery for Edge Session Border Controller s, associated solutions and technologies, within an assigned region / territory. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop and implement a sales strategy for the UK, Southern and Middle East regions, encompassing higher-level business objectives, driving new business sales and revenue growth.
Identify and champion the deals needed to grow the sales funnel for the short and long term.
Strong team leadership skills working within a multinational virtual team, have people skills to drive new business, enhance customer retention and regional growth.
Excellent presentation skills are critical to this role.
Ability to represent Ribbon and execute on a multi-level sales campaign across all levels of management within your accounts to achieve "trusted advisor" status.
Pro-actively call on new accounts within the allocated region to position Ribbon solutions
Fundamental understanding and current knowledge of next generation VoIP concepts and experiences of Unified Communication (voice) networks along with the strategies used to position their sales.
Ability to define, quantify, develop and articulate the business case used to support sales efforts.
To be able to understand the commercial and financial implications of an opportunity to the customer and to Ribbon to establish the optimum solution
To assist in risk mitigation and penalty avoidance through relationships and effective management skills
To understand financial and other regulatory requirements and work ethically within these
Champion, create and promote Ribbon brand awareness within your responsible region and have input into the regional marketing plans for its promotion.
Accurate and on-time order & revenue forecasting along with managing the sales pipeline.
Travel : 50% + expected, meeting customers and driving new business.
Supplies sales leadership with weekly written reports on customers covered, problems, interests, competitive activities, and forecasting for products and services.
Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, and industry trends.
Experience and Skills : 5+ years experience in a quota carrying sales role preferably with an IP networking equipment company or telecommunications service provider.
Ability to build strong relationships with customers.
Strong team player with proven new business sales track record looking to make a real impact with existing and new customers for Ribbon.
Experience in supporting Service Providers to be successful in the Enterprise market desirable.
Fundamental understanding and current knowledge and experience in IP and voice.
Aptitude for problem solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and Salesforce. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
Bachelor or Master Degree preferably in Business or Engineering.
Cisco IP Certification or Equivalent IP background desirable,
