About Business Unit :

Dell Technologies Consulting delivers strategic guidance and expert integration of Dell products and solutions to help customers rapidly transform their business and achieve optimal business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and manage large-scale data center migration over multiple sites.
  • Perform infrastructure discovery and application dependency analysis.
  • Determine business requirements, identify migration strategies, negotiate schedules and provide on-going coordination.
  • Deep involvement in the design, planning and execution of migration plan to migrate / decommission infrastructure without disruption to business groups.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, capacity planning, work scheduling, implementation planning.
  • and execution, post implementation planning and execution.
  • Drive meetings with SMEs from all areas of the business including : Architects and Leads to seek input from and review migration methodology, resource requirements, timeline and constraints
  • Track and report on all infrastructure scheduled for migration.
  • Host weekly status meetings with senior management, business and technology teams.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineers, Network and Storage teams to ensure successful execution of migrations on time with zero defects.
  • Experience level is required from 10 to 15 Years.
  • Essential Requirements :

  • Strong project management and technical leadership skills, with specific focus on data center migrations, consolidations, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office MS Excel, MS Visio and MS Access
  • Demonstrated holistic understanding of Datacenter Operations (i.e. Production operations, Server, Storage, Network, Data Base Mgt.
  • Systems Mgt., Helpdesk, DR / Business recovery practices, etc.)

  • Familiarity with functional operations of server, storage and network functions
  • Knowledge of server platform technologies
  • Ability to manage a project plan, track milestones and identify dependencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact efficiently with a large Project Management Office and Technical Team.
  • Strong client facing and relationship building skills are required.
  • Desirable Requirements :

  • Managing large projects involving complex Datacenter migrations.
