Job Summary :

  • Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for providing the technical support within HIC (Healthcare Innovation Campus) Operations.
  • He or She formulates manufacturing strategy and manages the introduction of new products and processes in Ops and closely works with R&D, Supply Chain & Procurement teams for multimodality New Product Introduction (NPI)Projects and Manufacturing Transfers
  • The person also drives Life cycle management, change management in operations and continual improvements in product & processes.
  • Key Areas of Responsibility :

  • Establish, organize, provide and maintain the necessary Global IS Operation processes & factory readiness for regulatory approvals (for e.
  • g.ISO13485,FDA, PH, ISO14001 / 18001etc)

  • Drive NPIs & ensure factory readiness by all means i.e. Mfg. Set up, Process, SAP, QMS & People Competency
  • Lead for expansion of the factory for new business
  • Maintaining the completed manufacturing process and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of product quality, shorten lead times and reduce costs
  • Lead for life cycle management & drive OCCB for managing and implementing technical / engineering changes
  • Ensure smooth roll out of industrial transfer projects & dual Mfg.
  • Contribute for defining Objective / Strategy for Ops. as a part of Ops.MT (Management Team)

  • Ensure smooth Prod. Start of new products in HIC Pune, as per schedule & readiness for ramp up
  • Ops. readiness & Smooth design transfer to manufacturing
  • PH / FDA compliance
  • Workout cost efficient expansion proposals & establish the Mfg. footprint to support business nos.
  • Strengthening LCM, continual improvement & support for lean deployment
  • Support to achieve BBSC commitments
  • Support dual Mfg. (Suzhou, BEST & LS), as necessary

  • Knowledge and Critical Experiences :

    Necessary know how / skills :

  • Bachelor / Master degree in a Technical domain and Business Administration
  • Programming knowledge
  • Medical Device regulation knowledge (nice to have)
  • Experience :

  • 10+ years in a complex assembly / test industry with managerial experience of at least 7 years.
  • Program Management, Preferably 3+ years
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team and have experience in Sustaining or Life Cycle management of products.
