Wholesale Loan Services (WLS) exists within Commercial Banking and provides lending operations and servicing functions to all four JPMorgan lines of business.

These functions include loan documentation, closing and funding, payment and fee processing, syndication loan and trade processing, credit administration and collateral perfection and management.

This role resides within WLS Operations Risk & Control and supports the team’s responsibility for ensuring effective implementation of the operational risk framework across the function, as well as providing advisory support on matters related to operational risk management.

This position collaborates and partners with the WLS management / functional teams, CB Controls Group and other functional support groups (Compliance, Audit, Finance, etc.

to develop and drive operational risk and controls strategy and to ensure that operational risks and issues are appropriately identified, escalated and mitigated.

The Program manager is a key role within the Risk Management & Analytics team with specific responsibility for The Office of Legal Obligation (OLO) program for WLS.

Core Responsibilities : -

  • Performing initial analysis of current procedures gap analysis to identify where procedures require enhancement to comply with the Firmwide Standard
  • Working closely with assigned teams to prepare Repository upload files

    Arrange for review and approval of updated procedures

    Consider additional Business documents to be uploaded in each team section of the Central Repository

    Coordination with regional counterparts to ensure consistent approach for Global Teams

    Tracking and follow up of queries identified during Procedures review and update

    Assist in overall communications to the business and senior management on the progress of the program to date and any action required, as applicable.

    Work with aligned teams in completing Phase 2 of the OLO program

    Work with the Central team to implement the ongoing Legal and Regulatory Change Model (and OLO BAU Operating Model)

    Required Qualifications :

    BS / BA degree

    3+ years financial services experience with minimum 2 years of operational risk, controls or audit experience

    Demonstrated excellent people management skills

    Excellent working knowledge of audit, risk and operational management concepts and the ability to understand and interpret the impact of decisions, as well as identify and convey potential problem areas

    Ability to foster positive and proactive approach to process assessment and improvement and to identify trends and improve processes for both the customer and the business

    Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, planning skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities

    Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of management, both written and verbal

    Knowledge of risk management tools

    Project Management Methodologies

    Ability to focus on the key issues and drive initiatives to conclusion

    Strong relationship management skills

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office

    Preferred Qualifications :

    Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team in multiple geographies

    Working knowledge of loan operations environment

    Strong analytical skills and ability to isolate the root source / cause
