Microsoft’s Customer Service and Support (CSS) organization supports over 170 Microsoft products, which range from the Consumer to Enterprise customer segments.
This includes technical products from Developer Support and Enterprise Platform Support to Enterprise Messaging Support and Enterprise Business Applications Support.
The site in Bangalore is a part of a global network that has over 50 million customer touch points on an annual basis and provides services to the Consumer and Enterprise customer segments.
Designation : TECHNICAL ADVISOR
The person in this position will work in a team environment to support Microsoft SQL Cloud products. The role of a Technical Advisor focuses on delivering high quality technical support to developer communities.
The core duty requires to provide assistance to support engineers towards fast and accurate resolutions to technically complex, politically charged customers while representing Microsoft in a positive, professional manner, work closely with engineers to build their technical road maps and deeper technical readiness etc.
The customer base ranges from small developer to large, sophisticated enterprise customers. Candidates should be comfortable discussing complex technical scenarios and solutions with varying customer skill levels leading to a deep understanding of the issue, root cause and resolution options.

Supporting customers on phone and written correspondence regarding technical questions (break-fix and advisory in nature) and issues related to Microsoft SQL Engine Onprem / Cloud technologies.
Analyze problems and develop solutions to meet customer needs; may involve writing code.
Actively share knowledge with other engineers and develop efficient customer solutions.
Actively work with engineers to develop their knowledge towards excellence in technical support.
Effectively communicating with customers and stakeholders via, phone, email .
Assess self knowledge and collaborate or escalate as needed.

Ensuring compliance with schedules; processes and MS policies and values.
Qualification, Technical skills and Experience :
Degree in CS, or equivalent in work experience
Hands-on experience in reading and interpreting source code to resolve customer issues
Experience with basic debugging
Experience in software development
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working on one of the SQL Cloud technologies like MY SQL, Azure DB, Postgre SQL, Microsoft® SQL Server versions 2012 , 2008 R2 , 2008, 2005 is required with level 300 knowledge in those products.
Good understanding of debuggig and advanced tools usage.
Knowledge of latest versions of Microsoft® SQL Server.
Good understanding of Windows Operating System concepts and Data structure
Two years of experience in working with data base applications(Web and Windows) connecting to SQL server database.
Two years of experience in working with SQL Server and drivers / providers
