Who we are looking for
We are looking for an exceptional and driven Cloud Operations Engineer to join a growing team.
What to expect
Handles Cloud Operations based on a defined service list, that includes but not limited to, Installations, scaling servers, migrating customer environments, solving infrastructure issues, taking backups, etc....
Write scripts to provision cloud resources and manage implementation automation.
Identify the manual operations and update the team's automation roadmap to automate them.
Interact with customers on specific escalations and setup questions.
Implement and maintain backup and recovery solution for customers' cloud computing resources.
Execute security patching and remediation (e.g. OS Patching).
Troubleshoot customer system issues and manage taking customer communication channels end-to-end
Handle any cloud related requests as necessary
Act as part of a 24x7 team with an on-call rotation element during off hours for infrastructure escalations from the support teams, customer infrastructure maintenance, and infrastructure alerts from our monitoring platforms.
What you need to succeed
BS. degree in a technical disciple (Computer Science or similar)
3+ years of experience in Systems Administration
Proficiency and Proven Hands-on experience AWS Services; EC2, CloudFormation, VPC, ELB, AWS Security, S3, RDS, EBS, ECS.
Excellent skills in Linux (AWS Linux 2 / Red Hat) and Windows Server.
Understanding of TCP / IP LAN / WAN networking technologies and troubleshooting techniques
Knowledge in Operations Automation scripting, like PowerShell / Linux Shell, Ansible, Python
Experience in working with Java-based Web Applications, Tomcat, etc...
Experience in Managing DB Servers, MySQL, MS SQL, and Oracle including Amazon RDS.
Excellent customer facing skills, meeting customers and handle their cloud hosting requests.
Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills and experience.
Experience in monitoring tools.
AWS Certification is a big plus, AWS Certified Solution Architect / AWS Certified SysOps Engineer.
Experience in IT standards such as ITIL, PCI or ISO 27001.
Experience in working in a ticket driven environment as well as handling project tasks via a SCRUM based Agile model.
