1.To develop restaurant sales by setting high standards of service.

2. To ensure complete preparation of restaurant / room service mis-en-place before the area

opens for operation.

3. To assist the guest in choosing the best items on the menu, thereby increasing sales, by up

selling and suggestive selling.

4. To handle all guests without bias or prejudice.

5. To write out guest cheques and ensure their proper processing by presenting them to

guests and encashing the same.

6. To assist the captain in preparing general stores requisition.

7. To carry out any duties assigned by the Captain / Manager.

8. To follow the house rules and policies laid down by the management.

9. Ensures customer satisfaction by courteously greeting customers and promptly escorting

them to their seats.

10. Presents menus, suggests cocktails and / or daily specials.

11. Exhibits knowledge of all items on the menu and wine list.

12. Takes order.

13. Prepares order for presentation to guest.

14. Replenishes water.

15. Makes and pours coffee for the customers.

16. Clears table throughout dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes,

glassware and silverware.

17. Processes customer restaurant bills promptly and accurately.

18. Cleans tables, chairs and floor area.

19. Resets table quickly.

20. Polishes silverware and folds linen.

21. Check the overall condition of the dining room, ensuring its readiness for customers.

22. Assists service team as necessary to meet or exceed guest expectations.

23. Logbook and reservations must be read at the beginning of each shift.

24. Acquires a working knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities and local information to respond

to customer questions in these areas. Promote all other services the hotel provides.

25. Informs supervisor / manager of any customer dissatisfaction.

26. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with

established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this

position.

27. Adheres to hotel policies and procedures :

28. Attends work on time and as scheduled.

29. Follows hotel grooming, hygiene and dress standards.

30. Minimize safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.

31. Refrain from personal conversations with other employees at the main entrance.

32. Keeps immediate manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters

of significance.

33. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with

established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this

position.

34. Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other company employees to foster

and promote co-operative and harmonious working climate.

35. Projects a favourable image of the Brand to the public.

In addition to the above-mentioned duties and job functions, any other assignment given on an

occasional basis or daily basis by the immediate Supervisor or the management needs to be

delivered as per the defined timelines.
