We are currently seeking a Program Manager to support our Data Retention and Data Privacy initiatives. The scope of this position will involve independently managing programs to ensure our data platform continues to meet regulatory requirements and customer centricity.

As Program Manager, you will :

  • Work with other Program and Product Managers, as well as Data Governance leaders to manage programs related to Data Retention, Privacy, and Governance.
  • Support the planning activities resulting in the creation of a program road map.
  • Ensure measurable KPIs are developed for the program
  • Identify the communication needs of both internal stakeholders and program sponsors, and proactively manage those communications
  • Identify program impediments and addresses including proper escalation to individuals / groups as needed.
  • Lead program retrospectives and commitment to improvement on a regular cadence
  • Advocate and manage program implementation according to PayPal’s platform / product lifecycle management.
  • Maintain awareness of the cross product / program synergies and actively communicate opportunities to simplify or better align work across teams.
  • Lead effective project / program governance and stakeholder management, ensuring adequate understanding of timelines, resource needs, risks, contentions, and dependencies.
  • Professional experience requirements :

  • 7+ years of experience required in Project and Program Management
  • Proven experience in delivering technology products and services in a high growth / high velocity environment at a leading consumer technology company or management consulting firm
  • Proven ability to develop effective cross-organization relationships, collaborating and communicating across business and technology stakeholders and multiple geographies.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for risk identification and mitigation.
  • Experience with different software development methodologies including Agile / Scrum.
  • Experience with Data Privacy and Governance programs preferred
  • Experience with Data Engineering programs preferred
  • Experience with Jira & Clarizen (or other portfolio management tools) preferred
  • PMI or similar certifications preferred
