As the largest independent charter owner and manager of containerships, they are truly a global operation and employ more than 4000 people at their offices in Hong Kong, Canada, India, China and Korea, as well as on board their large fleet of vessels.

Seaspan is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join the team in Mumbai. The Human Resources Coordinator provides HR department support for a number of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits and general administration.

May also provide some support to other departments.

Human Resources Coordinator Primary Responsibilities

Supports recruitment process, including posting jobs and advertisements, screening resumes and conducting phone interviews, responding to candidates, tracking applications, and completing new hire and IT forms, checklists and packages, and preparing and conducting orientation and training

Provides administration services, including maintaining employee contracts and payroll records, benefit enrolment, performance management, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, correspondence, and updating the corporate intranet.

Supports employee relations, including responding to employee requests, queries and suggestions, and helping prepare employee events and activities.

Assists with public company SOX requirements, including helping to develop and update job descriptions, preparing spreadsheets to track compliance, and aiding in the preparation for internal audits.

Drafts HR letters for employees e.g. employment verification, reference letters, visa support.

Coordinates office calendar, including sending and accepting electronic invitations, reminders, and preparation for scheduled events.

Manages office records as they relate to the Human Resources team, including creating and organizing files, maintaining contacts, and completing and storing confidential documents.

Performs other duties as required including general administration and reception coverage.

Requirements : Graduate in any stream.

Graduate in any stream.

Two or more years of experience in an administrative HR role or equivalent.

Strong administrative skills and at least two years of office experience.

Good verbal and written communication skills and writing style.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (including Outlook, Word, and Excel).

Sound organization skills

Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Displays attention to detail

Able to lift packages (e.g. courier, supplies) weighing up to 20 lbs.
