Job Purpose

This role is accountable for contributing within and across the Clinical & Portfolio product teams in enabling program cross-functionally by directly facilitating white-space activity between products and driving execution on inter-dependent activities.

The Senior Agile Facilitator will support teams by removing obstacles, assisting in value tracking, facilitation and management of agile ceremonies as well as coaching in VFQ and agile ways of working in specific areas of scope designated below.

The Senior Agile Facilitator will have responsibility for the product domains associated with Development modernisation and ongoing innovation across Development, particularly in the areas of :

Data Fabric implementation, support, and backlog management

Cross-functional platform provider and strategic supplier relationship management

Cross-functional business case management and value tracking

Senior business and technology stakeholder management across the Development modernization program and ongoing technology strategy refresh efforts

Clinical solutions marketing messages, boilerplate content management, and brand imagery used in cross-functional programs

Clinical capital management and alignment with various finance, business, and tech-driven processes

Ongoing R&D Tech transformation implementation backlog delivery specific to the Clinical & Portfolio team

Development Tech Innovation program management and facilitation

Lite project management and diligence / rigor in follow up of actions

Ability to conduct LT strategy meetings, follow up on outcomes and energize the group

Financial management diligence.

Key Responsibilities :

Enabling x-functional product teams : Act as a servant leader with oversight of all activities across product teams. Plan and facilitate agile meetings and team ceremonies, removing impediments or assisting the team in doing so.

Establish a trusting and safe team environment with a focus on problem solving. Foster a "learn by doing" team culture and drive relentless improvement.

Ensure collaboration to drive and deliver business value, adhering to the release management calendar where applicable.

Coaching and mentoring : Serve as champion of VFQ and agile ways of working, ensuring teams exhibit VFQ mindset and continuously embed and evolve agile practices.

Provide guidance, direction, and coaching to the teams. Work with teams at varying levels of maturity and develop them to become self-directed and self-managing.

Foster and contribute to communities of practice.

Product Backlog : facilitate creation and maintenance of the backlog data in the product board, maintaining alignment with strategic roadmap and ensuring content is accurate and fit for purpose (ex : ready for execution, available for reporting to governance boards, etc)

Best Practices : Liaise with Strategy, Design and Test organization as well as other partner organizations (ex : Quality, Portfolio, Established Products, Finance) to adopt and embed standards and best practices across the product teams.

Influence others including those more senior on best practices.

Strategy Alignment : Understand the strategic direction as it relates to team goals, ensuring strategy and delivery alignment at the product / product family level.

People Management : Provide guidance, support and direction to the team facilitators. Develop self and support others’ development to achieve full potential.

May directly line manage team facilitators.

Operations management : support Product Owner with operational activities at the Product / Product Family level (ex : financial management / reporting, risk log management, resource dependencies)

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related bachelor’s degree (Technical Degree eg Engineering, Information Technology) Or other bachelor degree coupled with relevant business experience

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor Degree in Agile delivery

SCRUM or SAFe certifications are a plus, but not required

Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience Required :

Relevant experiences in a global organization focused on technology or technology-enabled service delivery

5+ years of work experience in business service or software analysis, design, delivery, or marketing / sales

3+ years of work experience with financial and portfolio management

Extensive stakeholder management experience across levels and across business lines including with peers to manage complex projects and programs

Knowledge of methodologies to quantify / characterize business value and track achievement of targeted outcomes

Knowledge of Agile process and principles, particularly in adapting methodologies to complex, non-traditional scope (e.g.

not related specifically to backlog delivery for a software product)

Track record in delivering business impact through process and Tech enabled solutions

Excellent relationship management, strong influencing and communication skills
