Risk Management protects us from exposure to lossesresulting from market volatilities and defaults by our lending and tradingcounterparties.

Background on the Position

This position resides in the Model Risk Management (MRM) team within our Mumbaioffice. Our Global MRM team is broadly responsible for the risk management ofall of our models involving model validation, risk assessment, and governance.

We are seeking you to join a fast-growing teamwithin Model Risk Management, and help manage a new team responsible for thevalidation of qualitative models used across the Firm.

Primary Responsibilities

You would :

Engage withbusiness unit managers to understand the models

Assess theeffectiveness of controls to manage the model risk.

Writemodel risk management findings in technical documents that will be presentedboth internally (model developers, business unit managers) as well as to regulators.

Verballycommunicate results and debate issues, and concerns with internal audiencesincluding senior management.

Coordinate team’s tasks and escalate issues in a timelymanner.

Provide guidance and leadership to junior members in theteam


Possess Bachelors or Master’s Degreein finance or economics related areas.

5+ years’ experience within a Financial Institution orConsulting Firm. Preferably in areas of internal audit / operational risk / modelrisk

Have managed small teams (3-4 people)

Have exposure to and experience infinancial markets, products and businesses.

Have strong written and verbalcommunication skills; be comfortable debating issues and making formalpresentations.

Have desire to work in a dynamic,team-oriented environment focusing on concerning tasks mixing fundamental,quantitative and market-oriented knowledge and skills.
