Programme Manager IT Operational Data QualityThis job profile provides a broad overview of the Data process and maintenance job and is not intended to exhaustively describe the job.

Purpose of the RoleTo lead, support and participate in initiatives and projects which aim to improve integrity, security and usability of configuration data and data sources.

To improve the quality of IT operational data within IT infrastructure.To run the governance of those improvements, providing strategic solutions to ensure data is kept up to date and bad data can no longer enter the systems.

This will ensure complete and accurate recording and management of assets, including location and ownership, in accordance with their business criticality. This will enable

  • Comprehensive Service Management - rapid response to alerts, faster incident recovery, safer change activity and improved problem root cause analysis
  • Cyber security resilience -ability to prioritise the most critical / valuable IT assets
  • Security control and service stability- complete coverage of up-to-date patch management and ever greening
  • Scope of the work Lead / guide the Data Quality Delivery Group (which includes technical resources as well as business representatives) to correct and reconcile IT asset data across a number of data inventories (UCDMB, GSD, PLADA and EIM).

    Coordinate, liaise and direct a number of BAU product teams / agile pods to identify and implement change in relation to Operational data.

    This could be process change as well as technical change. Develop and maintain data processes working along with process owners.

    Guide and track any necessary operating model changes that will improve / cleanse data.Advice and control on change activities that will involve data sources, affect data processes or impact data service provision.

    Conduct analysis on the data to detect trends and anomaliesIdentify any gaps in information and opportunities for improvement / cleansing of that dataSuggest remedial actions or escalate detections which give cause for concern.

    Oversee the numerous data quality campaigns that are being run to improve data. This oversight will help to prevent rework or any duplication of efforts across the teams / people involved.

    Lead the cleansing of data and report on the progress made. Resolve blockers along the way.Identify the root cause of data quality issues and shape solutions.

    Build effective relationships and manage relevant stakeholdersProvide visibility to relevant stakeholders of upcoming Operational Data improvement programmes and changes.

    Communication of principles, plans, changes and improvements. Share updates to the data model, data repositories and solicit feedback.

    Lead or participate in forums, meetings or events to interpret and present data and support decision making. Report progress using data and metrics KPIsManage the provision of developmental activity for team members and oversee their work schedule Skills Required Experience of managing a data remediation project across multiple locationsExperienced in IT operational data especially Service, Application and Configuration dataKnowledge of various technologies / inventory tools used in the bank & the respective data flow.

    Experience in Agile methodology to run projects.Good stakeholder management as the role will involve working with senior managers across the ITID function.

    Ability to motivate and direct teams with strong People & Performance Management skills.Be able to act autonomouslyAnalytical with ability to understand and interpret huge data and resolve complex problemsStrong verbal and written communication skillsGood English language skillsExcellent reporting & comprehensive documentation skills using Microsoft suite products.
