Disaster Recovery Administrator will be responsible for building and maintaining Disaster Recovery capabilities that meet the business’ requirements for Recovery Time and Recovery Point objectives.

Evaluate and update existing Recovery capabilities and procedures, track dependencies between applications, and provide planning and support for Disaster Recovery exercises.

The individual in this role will be expected to track and report status for projects and Recovery exercises, perform root cause analysis of issues, and plan / execute remediation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong general knowledge of Disaster Recovery best practices, and a broad range of Information Technology skills, the ability to organize and execute complex tasks, and the ability to build clear and detailed reports and documentation.

Will be responsible for gathering information from supported application / service owners, collecting and evaluating recovery procedures, and developing technical recovery procedures from collected information.

Good communication skills are a must-have the candidate should be able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical staff in both verbal and written form.

Responsibilities :

  • Collect and Assess information about in-scope applications and servers and document high-level application architecture.
  • Create, evaluate, and update recovery plans / runbooks, and technical procedure documentation
  • Change management update recovery scope, recovery plans and procedures to keep pace with changes and updates.
  • Disaster Recovery test planning and coordination. Report test status in real-time, document results, perform root causes analysis and plan / execute post-test remediation activities.
  • Evaluate existing recovery solutions and technology, plan and execute implementation of new recovery capabilities, plan and execute updates and changes as needed.
  • Ability to work with and meet audit / compliance requirements as needed.
  • Ensure recovery solution meets required Recovery Time and Recovery Point Objectives; assess, monitor, and report overall Disaster Readiness status.
  • Be Commvault’s customer zero Leverage Commvault’s latest products and services and help build success stories based on practical application of Commvault’s latest technology offerings.
  • Requirements :

  • 3-5 years experience planning and / or executing disaster recovery solutions / exercises
  • Understanding of Disaster Recovery best practices
  • Broad knowledge of a wide array of information technology platforms and services, should have strong general expertise in several of the following areas : Windows Servers, UNIX / Linux, Storage and SAN technology, Network, databases, backup and restore technology, services such as DNS, Active Directory, Exchange, NFS, TCP / IP, scripting languages (powershell, UNIX shell)
  • Familiarity with commonly used virtualization hypervisors (HyperV, VMware)
  • Familiarity with public cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using automation and orchestration tools are a plus.
  • Relevant Technical Certification(s) and / or Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity certifications are a plus.
