Job Title : Supervisor, Engineering
General Summary : To provide technical leadership and direction to the Engineering team. Plans, develops, implements and monitors product processes for new and existing products.
Responsible for coordinating, monitoring and supervising the activities of the team. Establishes goals for the department employees and ensures that these departmental goals are achieved by communicating established objectives.
Provides feedback to management regarding overall individual team member performance. Develops departmental personnel to enhance skills, improve responsiveness, and promote business growth.
Duties & Responsibilities :
solving resource for all the downstream / upstream processes.
Influence product design to provide the best mix of design for manufacturability, ease of assembly and customer service.
Initiates activity and identifies applications for new processes and technologies. Makes appropriate recommendation to management regarding scope and resource requirements of project.
Once approved, manages projects with minimal support from management. Estimates required tasks and resources for manufacturing methods and establishes timeline for projects.
Monitor measures of project performance and report project status to management.
Consistently challenges status quo to ensure that department operations are technologically positioned to meet our business requirement.
Takes leadership role and facilitates teams in process and quality improvement initiatives. Establishes and maintains an effective staff through performance appraisals, corrective action, recommendations for salary increases / promotions, staffing, global communications and training of technical competence.
Ensures that time and attendance for assigned employees is accurate in data collection system.
Is instrumental in developing a flexible workforce.

Qualification : Bachelor’s in Engineering
Experience : preferably minimum 5 Years of shopfloor-related work experience in a medium volume / mix electro-mechnaical manufacturing or production environment with emphasis on trouble shooting and process improvements, also 3-
4 years of related supervisory experience. Preferably overall 8+ years of work experience.
