The role holder will be a part of a new Governance support hub being created in Bangalore, focussing on secretariat support for key Risk Governance committees of the bank as well as general governance and policy matters related to these Committees and risk governance tasks.
These Committees are attended by senior management of the Bank. The role holder will work in close alignment with a dedicated onshore manager that covers content driven topics and senior stakeholder management, the primary secretary.
The role holder should bring the following experience and capabilities :
Experience in financial services, preferably with subject matter expertise in risk management
Experience in a Committee Secretariat Role.
Good communicator, in particular written communications in English; able to write meaningful and clear e-mails.
Collaborative; working as part of a broader team to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach
Good organiser of incoming requests within the team
Ability to work with minimal direction. Practical.
Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the Group's core values.
Ownership mindset, able to think creatively and be open to new ideas
Able to work with tight deadlines and multiple demands
Attention to detail
Proactive, problem-solving, helpful
Strong experience in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point

Assist to maintain the Committee Governance Standards, Terms of Reference and Committee Structure pagesAssist with the review of the papers for formatting / adherence to paper guidelinesAssist with tracking of committee action itemsProvide materials as requested by external and internal parties, subject to approval
Work in close collaboration with the primary secretary, Regional Heads of Risk, to continuously ensure high quality deliverables
Engage internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth running of committee meetings, such as writing to presenters to ensure that they are on standby to attend the meeting and assisting to put together meeting packs for the Committees and the Chairperson.
Carry out short term activities as requested by the primary secretary, Regional Heads of Risk, and Risk Governance Hub Lead in Bangalore
Support the implementation of the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework ( ERMF ) activities relevant to Committee Risk Governance
Support the Risk Scanning Process, working closely with the ERM team
Track the completion of Committee Effectiveness Reviews for respective Committees supported.
Ensure that outcomes delivered, including necessary controls are fit for purpose and meet regulatory requirements
Ensure the Bank’s risk governance disciplines are adhered with.

Country Regulators, PRA, etc.
Our Ideal Candidate
The role holder will have experience in :
Bachelor Degree qualifications and minimum of 12-14 years of experience in financial services, preferably in a Bank with a specialisation in risk management
Professional certifications relating to Committee Secretariat.
The role holder should comply with all mandatory e-learning as prescribed from time to time.
