As an engineer in the Engine Development team of Caterpillar India, you will serve as an experienced individual contributor on complex projects and assignments for the end-

to-end design and development of large diesel, dual-fuel and gas engines. This will involve utilizing thermodynamic cycle simulation and other engineering analysis tools to effectively and efficiently communicate results to team members to make program decisions.

You will also perform data analysis, results review and documentation, project management planning and updates.

Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :

Executing engine performance and simulation work using 1D thermodynamic tools

Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas

Create / Evaluate new processes

Perform complex analysis work, identify and solve challenging problems

Create and deliver technical reports

Mentor and develop other engineers in the team

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor’s / Master’sdegree in Mechanical / Automobile / Aerospace Engineering,

3+years(for Bachelor’s) / 0-3 years experience (for Master’s) with enginedevelopment / simulation

Top Candidates Will Also Have :

PhD / Mastersdegree in an accredited Indian or Global Engineering school

Proficiencywith engine rating development

Expertisewith GT-Power 1-D Engine Simulation or equivalent

Basicproficiency in German language

Excellentanalytical skills

Abilityto perform complex assignments

Self-starterwith strong technical leadership skills

Workingknowledge of Python / VBA to automate tasks

Enjoysworking in a fast paced, technically challenging environment
