    Principal Accountabilities 1) EHS Management System (Compliance to EHS Standards) - Drive implementation of the HSE Policy-

    Ensure documentation of the Local HSE Procedures in compliance with the HSE Standards and Business / Regulatory Requirements and taking into consideration the risks presented by Site operations-

    Recommend and obtain approval for appropriate organizational resources to implement the HSE Procedures. Document responsibility and authority at all levels in the organization.

  • Draw up and implement an HSE Training Program to support the implementation of HSE Standards & Procedures- Driving ISO 14001 & 45001 system at site 2) Positive Measures of HSE -
  • Drive the HSE KPIs at site- STOP (Unsafe Behavior Observations Tours) - Ensure compliance to the CS Protocol, Quality of interaction and adequacy of closure -

    Quick Risk Prediction / HSE Defects (Unsafe Conditions Observations Tours) - HSE Audits Permit to Work, PPE Compliance, Machinery Guarding, Electrical Isolation, Emergency Equipment (First Aid, Eye wash station, Fire equipment access), Ladder safety, Visitor safety Audit, Tanker / Truck Offloading.

  • Accident Investigation, Reporting and Closure Ensure compliance to the CS Protocol, Quality of investigation and adequacy of closure-
  • Risk Assessment / Job Safety Analysis - Ensure compliance to the CS Protocol, Quality of inspection and adequacy of closure -

    HSE Concern Sheets - Ensure compliance to the CS Protocol, Quality of inspection and adequacy of closure - Near Miss Reporting -

    Ensure compliance to the CS Protocol, Quality of inspection and adequacy of closure- HSE Training Minimum of two man days per FTE 3) HSE MIS -

    HSE Reporting as per the CS Global Reporting Guidelines in the HSE Reporting Database.- HSE Reporting as per the ISC EHS Leadership Team requirements -

    Monthly sharing of HSE KPIs as per HSE Review Format with Site Team.- HSE Contract compilation at annual frequency- HSE Annual reporting in Data Base-

    Submission of Environment Statement under EPA (Env protection Act)- Submission of Water Returns under Cess Act & Rules 4) Submission of Information under the Factory Act & Rules -

    Reporting of Accidents / Dangerous Occ.- Emergency Plan- Safety Audit 5) HSE Committee - Anchor the functioning of the Site HSE Committee-

    Drive employee engagement on HSE aspects through the EHS Committee- Develop and implement the Site EHS Improvement plan under the aegis of the EHS Committee.

    6) Implementation of following HSE Procedures - Drive implementation of the following HSE Procedures as the procedure 7) Contractor EHS Management -

    Implement a Contractor Management Program for the appropriate contractor selection based on contractor safety performance, contractor compliance with Global HSE standards, contractor safety rules and general employee safety rules, monitoring of contractor activities and training / orientation / induction.

  • Ensure that the Contractor HSE Rules are provided to the Contractors and that the Contractors ensure compliance to these within the Baddi Factory Premises.
  • Promote safety awareness and communication amongst Contractors.- Develop and implement an Accident / Incident Management Program to report, investigate, manage and track workplace accidents, incidents, near misses and workplace hazards for Contractors.
  • Develop and implement a Hazardous Material Management Program for Contractors to identify, evaluate, track and approve all hazardous materials, communicate hazards, and store, use and dispose hazardous materials safely.
  • Contractor HSE Rules Contractors EHS Rules booklet is reviewed every year 8) HSE Statutory Compliance - Liaise with Government Authorities on Matters Pollution Control Board & Fire Officer-
  • Arrange to keep up-to-date all consents and Permits related to Pollution Control Board and Fire NOC- Support compliance to requirements of other statutes such as the Factory Act & Rules, Boiler Act, Indian Electricity Rules through the concerned functional executives-

    Be aware of current National Legislation and maintain standards. Maintain the regulatory compliance register for the Baddi Site.

    9) IL6S HSE Pillar - Implementation of IL6S system to drive HSE pillar across the site as per phase requirements- Engagement of HSE overlapping structure to drive IL6S at shop floor 10) Fire System Management -

    Fire Risk assessment is carried out of the fire hazards associated with operations, processes, materials and ignition sources at the Site.

    Fire Risk for new plant and equipment is assessed and in case of modifications, existing fire risks are reviewed- Controls required as identified by the Fire Risk assessment are defined and provided by the installation of physical systems-

    Fire Emergency Response Plans are put in place and routinely exercised- All fire incidents are recorded and investigated.

    Actions taken to prevent recurrence and learning arising from such incidents are incorporated in the Fire Risk Assessment.

  • Physical fire safety systems (both fixed and portable) are routinely inspected, tested and maintained to minimum performance standards-
  • Close liaison with external emergency bodies such as Fire Brigade and Medical Facilities are maintained- Regular inspection of work place for fire hazards are carried out so that appropriate preventive measures can be taken 11) Sustainability -

    Drive site sustainability targets of the site as per BU targets- Track the sustainability KPI with the help of sustainability council team

    Qualifications

    Skill Specific skill required is : - Aggressiveness / Adaptability / Accountability / Collaborative - Team Working Skills-

    Working knowledge of manufacturing site processes / systems - Good interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills-

    Analytical approach with good skill in problem solving.- Persuasiveness. - Awareness of Labor Laws and its compliance conditions in the Factory Environment Qualification : -

    B.tech or Degree in science with Safety Diploma
