The Role Responsibilities

The role is based in Singapore and required to provide analytical compliance support in the coordination, identification, analysis, tracking and presentation of conduct, compliance and financial crime risks, issues, incidents, breaches, inspections, regulatory and industry development, deliverables, initiatives and compliance risk assessments) impacting TB business globally with the assistance of designated TB Global, Regional and Country CFCC Officers to both CFCC and TB Management.

Analytical & Reporting

  • Assist Global CFCC Advisory Head of respective TB products in identifying, analysis and tracking of compliance and regulatory issues, breaches and developments obtained from Group Compliance Reporting team and various sources which impact TB business globally.
  • Liaise with TB Regional, Country CFCC and Group CFCC Reporting team to ensure availability of relevant, accurate and timely escalation of incidents, issues, breaches and regulatory developments
  • Maintain and track progress across all key CFCC deliverables.
  • Preparation of high quality CFCC report to TB and CFCC management team, relevant governance committees and other control related forums.
  • Develop focussed CFCC relevant MIS including key control indicators across the TB business. Highlight risk patterns and trends and develop associated commentary.
  • Continually focus in improving the effectiveness and timeliness of the escalation of CFCC and regulatory issues, development and deliverables.
  • CFCC Risk Assessment & Review

  • Coordinate and manage the completion of the CFCC Risk Assessments for TB business with TB Global Head of CFCC Advisory, including analysis of the Compliance Risk Assessments results to facilitate TB Global Head of CFCC Advisory’s review and sign off.
  • Coordinate and support the applicability of the operational risk framework for potential failures on risks owned by Compliance and FCC.
  • Assist in the conduct of thematic compliance review and monitoring.
  • Advisory & Project

    Assist and / or represent TB CFCC Advisory other ad-hoc projects and initiatives and provide advisory support across TB products (where relevant).

  • Assist in the monitoring and ensuring new / changes to CFCC owned policies and procedures are embedded within the TB business with the assistance of designated TB Global, Regional and Country Compliance Officers.

  • Endeavours to take a holistic approach to the management of risk the compliance issue may not be the most pressing risk issue.
  • Our Ideal Candidate Technical Knowledge

  • Has an introductory understanding of variations in laws and regulations, from a CFCC perspective, across the region that are related to TB products.
  • Compliance skills

  • Core knowledge in risk identification, risk assessment, controls development, training, monitoring and reporting.
  • Core experience, shown by demonstrable achievements in the above areas.
  • Good understanding of the fundamental banking regulations and exchange control regulations
  • Analytical skills

  • Core ability to analyse relevant laws and regulations and co-relate regulatory issues to products and business models.
