You will work with a BU-wide vibrant technical community and interact with some of the brightest minds in the field as you provide BU support for high-

touch and large scale deployments of high-end routing platforms.

Specific responsibilities include :

  • working with customer and support team to assess technical requirements and potential issues
  • acting as an escalation point of contact for technical and operational issues
  • providing technical support to customers and internal Cisco support team; and providing status updates on the overall deployment project(s).
  • Travel to customer sites.
  • On a rotational basis, provide OnCall BU escalation support as needed for critical accounts and escalations.
  • Acts as a filter and liaison between engineering and customer / customer account / customer support teams
  • Uncover requirements on systematic problems and drive plans with respective teams for long term solutions providing better customer experience and product / solution stability
  • Who You'll Work With

    As a senior member of this team, you will work with regional support teams, customer and sales team on one end and Engineering architects and leads on the other.

    You will have the opportunity to not only to support some of the world’s largest Service Provider networks, but also work with Sales & Marketing team on pro-

    active customer engagement covering newer technologies. Additionally, you will be working with engineering architects and leads in getting engaged in product development and architecture by providing in ensuring customer operational & technical requirements are being taken care of.

    Who You Are

    You are not just the technical expert in your team, but also possess the ability to drive your team towards technical excellence.

    The specific requirements are as follows

  • BES / ME in Computer Science / Electrical / relevant engineering area with work experience of 4-7yrs G8
  • CCIE is desirable
  • Familiarity with high-end routing platforms and respective architectures (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia etc)
  • Familiarity with IOS-XR and its related operating system(s) IOS-XR, NGXR, cXR etc
  • Familiarity with technical protocols (BGP / OSPF / ISIS; IPv4 / IPv6; MPLS TE / FRR / VPN; RSVP; Multicast (v4 / v6).
  • Platform architecture
  • Familiarity with internal Cisco organization and eco-system (BU, AS, TS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Service Provider customers and environments
  • Demonstrated customer-management skill-sets with assistance of Senior Engineers
  • Good communication skills
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Technical writing skills (whitepapers, documents, presentations, etc.)
