JOB PURPOSE (JOB SUMMARY) :

Expected to be self-managing and escalate issues appropriately, provides Security Master Support services to Invesco’s internal clients globally.

Liaise and work jointly with team members in global locations (Hong Kong, London, Toronto and Houston) to provide 6x24 coverage.

Lead research and analysis of security master related topics such as data standard, data override, and data reconciliation.

Provide recommendation and lead automation and improvement of daily operational process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES :

Work as part of a team, ensuring SLA’s (Service Level Agreement), all relevant regulations are met and maintained, raising issues to Supervisors / Team Managers.

Services internal clients (such as : portfolio managers, traders, compliance, Portfolio Reconciliations) within Invesco globally by executing tasks outlined in the Security Master Global Support Service Catalogue.

Sample tasks include the set up, maintenance, review and validation of security master, brokers, portfolio / accounts and market data elements.

Perform independent research, review and analysis of financial statements, organizational structure, business model, operational risks, performances and securities / financial instruments issued by organizations we invest in.

Research, recommend and lead data standard enhancement initiatives and automation / continuous improvement of daily operations processes

Validate and ensure data override requests conform to Invesco’s Data Standard; conduct research / analysis and raise issue to appropriate Data Governance bodies as needed

Ensure data are reconciled between various internal systems

Research into new security instruments to determine support procedures

Research and provide recommendations for the automation and improvement of daily process

Proactively give ideas and participate in the continual improvement initiatives within Data Management

Provide support on corporate actions, Pricing and security valuation operational tasks as needed / defined by manager

Participate in data reconciliation process between various internal systems as needed

Assist or deliver training to new or less experienced team members

Serve as a mentor to Data Management Administrator I and II

Develop relationship with data vendors and Invesco data users to provide support as appropriate

Maintain and update documentation on Data Management’s global operational procedures

Perform User Acceptance Testing and rollout support on upgrade / improvement of the applications used by Data Management.

Process and respond to requests received, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Raising issues where vital to supervisor.

Provide cover for other team members in their absence and assists other areas, as required.

Contribute to overall team progress via team meetings / ideas / initiatives training and development

Raise issues and breaches to relevant parties in a timely manner

Check other team member’s output to ensure accuracy, in a timely manner in linewith regulatory deadlines / internal service standards.

Accurately Process all requests and client instructions requests within the established time frames.

Accurately verify all requests within the established time frames.

Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Respond to basic and intermediary questions and tasks from other teams independently and refer sophisticated problems to supervisors for issue

Overtime, off hours support and travel may be required

Staggering shift work is required on a rotational basis and as defined by manager to provide global business coverage depending on project, assignment or daily activity.

WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE :

4 to 6 Years Investment Operations Industry Experience

Excellent Knowledge of Investment products globally is required

Must have a general understanding of the end-to-end investment services processes such as trade entry, trade process, settlement, valuation, corp action processing and fund account

Must have a strong understanding on the impact of different characteristics of a security has on downstream data consumers and business functions (e.

g. Compliance, Risk, Performance)

Strong MS Office skills in particular MS Excel, MS Word

SKILLS / OTHER PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED :

Ability to work independently and in a global team environment

Excellent research and analytical as well as problem solving skills

Attention to detail is critical.

Interpersonal skills vital to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals is required.

Must show the ability to make quick decisions, prioritise and concentrate on detailed information under pressure daily.

This includes the ability to handle time critical situations while meeting thorough deadlines.

Must be adept in all Microsoft Office programs, with a special emphasis in Excel.

Ability to collaborate in a team environment is critical.

Must establish and maintain relationships with internal teams.

Problem solving skills.

Ability to actively participate in projects.

Desire to learn new and complex financial instruments and processes.

Willingness to participate in the development and improvement processes and efficiency.

FORMAL EDUCATION :

MBA or any other Professional qualification with Finance as Major Specialization.
