Summary :

Engineers, implements and maintains desktop management solutions for the organization's

  • Manages and maintains desktopmanagement tools to include asset inventory, remote control, software licensemanagement, computer diagnostics and virtualization technology.

  • Administers and maintains
  • desktop imaging systems to include ongoing enhancements, modifications and

    software upgrades.

  • Assesses, packages, tests,
  • deploys and properly documents all software patches, updates, and new software

    installations into the PPD IT infrastructure.

  • Verifies stability,
  • interoperability, security or scalability of system architecture; defines

    desktop hardware and software standards and procedures.

  • Provides engineering
  • consulting and support to other functional groups and projects, advanced 3rd

    level troubleshooting and support to all internal users globally.

  • Assesses, researches and
  • provides recommendations for new, emerging and innovative IT technologies and

    productivity tools for suitability within the organization on an occasional

    basis.

  • Cross-trains new and existing employees. approvedapplications including but not limited to : IT imaging and system tools, desktoputilities, desktop patch management solutions, problem and incident management escalations,software distribution, and application packaging.
  • Engineers and supportsdesktop solutions for existing and emerging technologies for compatibility andbusiness alignment within the organization.

    Knowledge, Skills andAbilities required :

    SCCM (Software Packaging,Quality Checks, Deployment, Microsoft Monthly Patching)

    Server Administration

    Packaging with InstallStudio

    Powershell and AutoITscripting

    Active Directory Experience

    Experience working in a largeenterprise environment

  • Education / Experience

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formalacademic / vocational qualification.

    Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, andabilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years’).
