Overview

A Junior planner is responsible to support Client Service and Creative departments in the development of creative and consumer relevant communication.

To ensure that the agency produces the standard of creative product that adds maximum value to the brands the agency has been entrusted with.

Responsibilities

  • To have a good working knowledge of the market overall, and to provide a broad perspective on the
  • critical issues facing the brand

  • Plan and help execute media amplification and social media advertising on key social platforms.
  • Deep understanding and strong working knowledge of social media platforms (e.g Twitter, Instagram,
  • Facebook, Youtube, Google, Snapchat) and their role in forming and being part of a larger digital

    ecosystem.

  • Developed more digitally oriented planning skills alongside the core craft e.g. social listening, web
  • analytics content planning.

  • To take responsibility for creative briefs, creative ideas and execution on the brand
  • To have a good working knowledge of the data and qualitative research available on the account / brand
  • To identify information gaps relating to the Client’s understanding of the market, consumer and brand customer relationship, and make recommendations to fill the gap
  • Track the effect of social and content marketing on the client’s digital platforms to showcase the effectiveness of our digital marketing.
  • To organise brainstorm sessions and facilitation workshops to thrash out brand-related issues
  • To be responsible for inspiring original, motivating and consumer relevant creative ideas through the creative briefing process
  • To write creative briefs in a way that inspires great creative work
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field such as marketing, mass media etc
  • Minimum 1 4 years marketing experience, strategic planning
  • Anticipates consequences of events when planning projects and takes necessary action to keep projects on track
  • Express thoughts in a clear, concise and impact-full manner both verbally and in writing
  • Can engage creative teams in effective two-way communication
  • Can write presentations to communicate a point of view clearly and succinctly and can present them
  • Demonstrates a basis understanding of the business implications of a specific brand activity
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Has a good knowledge of communications and marketing-related theories and methods
