Main Responsibilities

  • Perform systems administration of desktop (Computer) and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client / server / storage / network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to Bobst IT Group management and internal customers
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
  • Configure and manage Windows operating systems image.
  • Installs / loads operating system and application software
  • Isolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems
  • Assume a technical role and participate in project assessment, software packaging, custom scripting, pilot testing, user acceptance and communication, and remediation activities associated with large scale software deployments.
  • Ability to write technical documentation in the form of test plans, installation plans and incident reviews. Interfaces with other release team members to ensure all technical aspects of the deployment have been accounted for in order to minimize risk to IT infrastructure.
  • Solve complex technical issues and develop customized solutions in deploying software applications to a diverse workstation environment.
  • Work in a test, configuration management and release management environment, interfacing with various process owners
  • Critical Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Experience using the following scripting languages : VBScript, PowerShell, MSI / Install Script, Wise Scripting and Win batch.
  • Experience using the following packaging tools : Wise and AdminStudio.
  • Complete MCSA prior to starting
  • Strong experience knowledge as administrator for SCCM from Microsoft
  • Possesses patching experience with SCCM
  • Knowledge of management and deployment tools like SCCM and Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Domain services including Group Policy Management.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software packaging, custom scripting, pilot testing and deployment of packages
  • Skills Preferred :

  • Experience using a Helpdesk system EasyVista is a plus.
  • Programming Language like Java, HTML and Databases MS SQL, Oracle knowledge is a plus. Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, engineering, math or science and 8 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in cross-functional, global teams which impact multiple business unit internationally
  • ITIL V3 Foundation
  • Understanding of ITIL, incident and problem management best practices
  • IT or Engineering background
