BE / B Tech in Chemical / Mettalurgy
To support production of Copper Cathodes of LME grade A in Refinery 3 by :
oInspection of raw materials to ensure they are within stipulated specifications
oMonitoring and controlling process parameters
oEnsuring addition of sufficient quantity and quality of reagents
o ensure current efficiencies in refinery #3 operations
Tracking and monitoring anodes at every stage of processing to ensure they match stipulated specifications to achieve budgeted efficiencies and LME Grade A quality
Ensuring traceability of every batch of anode during the cathode production process
Aligning anodes and cathodes to avoid short circuits
Monitoring and controlling electrolyte parameters like composition, temperature, flow, voltage etc.
BE / B Tech in Chemical / Mettalurgy
To summarise, compile & analyze of operating data for record and process control including measures for WIP reduction.
To ensure smooth operation of Slime Treatment Plant and Liberator Section of Refinery #3
To maintain safe working condition and keeping good & healthy work environment.
Refinery is a work intensive plant with a focus of quality on inward material-Anode, maintaining the process parameters by maintaning cell house operations, Liberator sections and slime treatment sections to achieve the production of LME Gr-A Copper cathode
Basic Requirements to overcome challenges :
Quality of anode varies on account of variation in quality of concentrate affecting quality of final cathodes sold as finished goods and acceptance of production in domestic and export market.
Rigid control to be maintained on process parameters, reagent addition and other operating practices to avoid impurity build-up in solution and nodulation in cathode surface
Focus on customers delight by producing LME grade Quality cathodes & also to ensure timely delivery for despatch to internal & external customers.
as stoppages of slime plant will build up high value inventory at plant and will impact profitability of the organization.
