What's the role?
Path finding and estimation of travel time play a key role in varies location-based services and navigation solutions offered by HERE, such as personal route planning, logistics, delivery optimization and price estimation for ridesharing.
HERE offers comprehensive routing solution (pedestrian, bikes, scooters, cars / e-cars, different truck profiles) with flexibility for customers (personalization via your own map data, routing parameters, or using machine learning), all based on a modern technological stack based primarily on C++17 and Rust.
The Lead DevOps engineer is responsible for Routing service working flawlessly on the HERE Platform stack, scaling to meet customer demand of billions of requests, managing customisations brought by users, and integrating with HERE Authentication and Billing frameworks.
Your day-to-day tasks include :
Design service architecture and deployment pipelines in coordination with the development team.
Advising development teams to ensure new feature development conforms to our testing and quality metrics.
Integration with Billing and Authentication frameworks as the product evolves its pricing and billing structures
Design scaling solutions to allow services to quickly scale based on customer needs while maintaining the cost efficiency of the setup
Maintaining and further developing CI / CD pipelines for multiple online routing services. From merge-request to production deployment, the DevOps team maintains the full pipeline.
Maintaining and developing testing scripts for both ad-hoc and automated testing.
Assisting System Engineering team with debugging issues in production deployments.
If it is your dream to be working with those cutting-edge technologies and improving state-of-art routing algorithms while taking the responsibility of the whole process (designing the solution, building it, covering with automated tests, packaging to docker and deploying to cloud) apply!
