The Global Effectiveness Process Product Manager is a key role in the Effectiveness eco-system. The Product Owner will own defining the Product Vision, Strategy, Roadmap and Backlog.
The Process Product Owner is described as the team's most important stakeholder. The role of a Process Product Owner is critical to the successful delivery of our End -2-End (E2E) Mega Process Products from the initial ideation of the product through its entire life cycle.
The Effectiveness E2E Process Product Owners are responsible for the collection of ideations into a backlog, the prioritization process and supporting the project / agile teams as they release.
The role of the Product owner is responsible for communicating with stakeholders across the board, including but not limited to the domain leaders, finance, and the program team to make sure the goals are clear, and the vision is aligned with business objectives.
Once the Process Product Owner has set the vision, strategy, and product priorities, the product owner should spend a significant amount of time overseeing the actual development of the product.
They are a key player throughout each event, including planning, refinement, review, and each sprint. During the planning stages, the Process Product Owner works with stakeholders to identify and organize the steps required for the next iteration.
They will then meet with their team to refine the process, identify areas for improvement, and support the sprint. The successful Process Product Owner will be an expert at understanding and anticipating the client’s needs to manage the development process more effectively.
Process Product Owner are also the primary communicator and link between stakeholders and teams. As such, they must be an expert in communications, making sure there’s buy-in from stakeholders on all major decisions and strategy and clear instructions and deliverables for the team.
A successful Process Product Owner wears many hats so there is an expectation that they will be very agile, a great communicator and can lead global teams to deliver a successful outcome.
