  • Extensive hands-on 1-4 years of experience in Console Operations, Batch monitoring,
  • Scheduling using CA-ESP (Event Stream Processing) tool on Mainframe z / OS.
  • Good to have knowledge on Mainframe (JCL), Unix / Linux Shell scripting
  • Monitor batch jobs. Report / resolve issues and batch scheduling changes in the CA-ESP tool
  • Perform basic CA-ESP operational tasks. (RERUN, HOLD, SET TO OK, FREE, BYPASS)
  • Monitor Mainframe console and batch alerts in CA-ESP
  • Report / troubleshoot issues using escalation matrix and SOPs, adhering to SLAs
  • Support system maintenance (IPL / POR) using HMC. System breakdowns (emergency IPL, Dumps)
  • Monitor distributed platforms, critical batches, System performance, software, disk / tape utilization
  • Technical Experience

  • Experience to monitor consoles and other monitoring tools for various alerts and report as required
  • Knowledge of batch scheduling tools - particularly in CA-ESP. Good to have experience with other scheduling tools like TWS / OPC, CA-7, or Control-M
  • Experience to work with Spool management tools, system monitoring, and automation tools
  • Expertise & knowledge to perform IPL and knowledge of HMC operations
