  • Overall responsibility for the day-to-day US GAAP accounting, general ledger and monthly close process (including reporting and review of account reconciliations and manual journal entries) for the Region
  • Maintenance of Closing Checklist and local Monthly Closing Calendar
  • Assist with management reporting on Cost analysis, critical Trend analysis of financials and variances
  • Manage the Intercompany process and ensure differences identified by Corporate Accounting are resolved on a timely basis
  • Prepare and present quarterly Balance Sheet reviews, Tax packs and Tax provisioning
  • Ensure and certify Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and applicable GAAP compliance
  • Prepare Statutory Accounts with all necessary schedules and manage the Audits
  • Perform / manage GST, Withholding Tax filings and compliances
  • Guidance for and regular communication with Local Finance Specialists and local accountants
  • Support and lead special projects such as acquisitions and systems implementations
  • Undertake the full range of duties relevant to the leadership, management and development of the team to ensure their performance meets and or exceeds both the business and their own personal goals / objectives
  • Maintain a positive, results orientated work environment, building partnerships with various internal stakeholders, Business and external stake holders vis.
  • Auditors, Clients, Banks, Tax authorities etc.

  • Participate in formal staff review processes e.g. performance and salary reviews to corporate standards and timescalesQualifications
  • Good Knowledge about finance, accounting operations, Accounting Principles and Business Taxes
  • Manage audits and Tax compliances both Direct and Indirect
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience from working in an international environment and exposure to multi currency transactions
  • Working Knowledge about the use of ERP (Oracle) and other Microsoft Office Products
  • Encourages others to share their views and takes time to understand and consider these views
  • Identifies conflicts early and supports actions to facilitate its resolutions
  • Adapts readily and efficiently to changing priorities and demands
