GENERAL SUMMARY

Work with Qualcomm's engineering team to lead performance activities for the next generation System-on-chip (SoC) for smartphone, tablet and other product categories.

You will be responsible for performance analysis for complete SOC. Work with chipset product manager, product engineer, Hardware & Software teams to understand the design requirements, specification and interface details.

You will work with architecture team in understanding the architecture and performance requirements and finalizing the product specification.

Will work with IP model teams for model delivery and create the SoC platform. You will have opportunity to suggest architecture and design changes which can optimize the overall power / area / performance / thermal for the chipset.

Will work with world-wide performance team in incorporating the best practices and methodology so that the turn-around time is improved from one project to next.

Will get the opportunity to learn the best smartphone, IoT SoC design which is being developed in Qualcomm.

Some of the key skills which are required (1-2 key skills will be important) :

Experience of leading team to deliver project critical deliverables

Experience working in team where close collaboration is required between multiple stakeholders

Experience in 4G / 5G high level protocol or performance understanding.

Understanding of NOC and MMU designs and it’s performance aspects at SOC level

Understanding of DDR design and it’s performance aspects at SOC level

Good understanding of bus protocols like AXI, AHB, QSB

Good understanding of Multimedia domains like Camera, Video, GPU and it’s performance at system level

System modelling of cores like NOC, DDR, MMU, Camera, Video

Understanding of machine learning algorithms and system level usecases for mobile chipsets

Understanding of SOC DV / VI / RUMI / performance validation

    Bachelors - Computer Science, Bachelors - Engineering, Bachelors - Information Systems

    4+ years Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience.

    6+ years Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience. ,1+ years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.

    2+ years experience with hardware design and measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools, etc.

    2+ years experience utilizing schematic capture and circuit simulation software. ,2+ years experience with circuit design (e.g., digital, analog, RF).
