Manager, KYC & Due Diligence-(WD39777)


Position Title : Manager , KYC & Due Diligence

Section : CBG COO

Reporting to : Unit Head, CDD

Location : Karur

Job Purpose (In a brief, specific one or two-sentence statement, answer the questions : "Why does this position exist?" and "What is it expected to accomplish?")

  • To lead and manage KYC & Due Diligence team for CBG & ensure strict adherence to KYC, AML, EWSS check and EDD related activities
  • To ensure high level governance standards are maintained on alert management for on-boarding, post on-boarding and exception handling.
  • To serve as the second (& final) level escalation point for business, compliance and customers for on-boarding exceptions.
  • To serve as the training conductor for internal product & process training and service skills training
  • To monitor, drive and manage SLA and performance of in-source or outsource operations.

  • Team management to supervise and motivate staff
  • KYC and EWSS involving EDD checks
  • AML / PEP / Watchlist checks as per AML / KYC policy
  • Ensure end to end TAT being adhered to
  • Complaint management, Data accuracy & Transaction quality
  • Efficiency, Productivity & Utilization

  • Job Duties & responsibilities (List the principal duties. Use concise statements that provide a clear understanding of the level of responsibility, complexity, creativity and analysis performed in this position.)

  • To ensure team adherence and execution of customer on-boarding, KYC, EWSS alert management guidelines and other PMLA / RBI guidelines.
  • Account Life Cycle Management activities related to Risk Review, KYC IDD, Additional EDD are performed as per the guidelines and exceptions highlighted to Unit Head.
  • Support quality assurance and errors (if any) highlighted to be rectified.
  • Ensure adherence of Controls, Risk and RBI CIP & CAP guidelines along with India KYC guidelines.
  • Management, Productivity and Efficiency.
  • To ensure monthly dashboard highlighting key MIS being circulated with various stakeholders
  • Ensure volume forecasting, budgeting and manage productivity and implement BOD & EOD controls on all activities
  • To drive automation of the process and MIS using various tools.
  • Obtain minimum satisfactory audit rating for the team
  • Required Experience

    1 A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in retail banking with experience of AML / KYC and banking operations.

    2 Sound knowledge of KYC & AML guidelines.

    3 Domain knowledge on RBI guidelines related to KYC & PPI

    Education / Preferred Qualifications

    1 Minimum of graduation from recognised university and post-graduation preferred

    2 Certifications related to AML / KYC is an added advantage
