  • Product Improvement of existing product, Life Cycle Planning working closely with Advanced Planning
  • Synergize with key stakeholders and get relevant products into the market
  • Lead the launch of Halo models for Brand image enhancement
  • Support in the preparation of Contract agreement in alignment with stakeholders (PP / OPD / AMI CMM) 18 to 12 months before SOP
  • Lead Pricing discussions during MPR process, support to present to PPMI / OPD and assist to secure approval for New / Minor Change models, 6 to 4 months before SOP
  • Develop Product Marketing support i.e PIG, Product Encyclopedia, PMP's min 4 months before SOP
  • Lead the launch plan for new product introduction, Manage the Launch committee (LC) for the implementation of the plan.
  • Set up PMO (Project Management Office) for critical projects in Sales & Marketing Area

  • Track & Monitor competition activities
  • Prepare counter measure plan proactively
  • Update the team on upcoming / existing competitive products
  • Recommend product change or spec change requests to Advanced Planning

  • Analyse customer information, competitor movement / strategies and contribute towards future portfolio enhancement and current vehicle project Management
  • Validate product strategy (line-up, Grade-walk, Pricing, Volume, Profitability, Lifecycle) based on customer understanding, market & competition situation
  • Analysis of Vehicle segments, NCBS, PLS, other Market Intelligence reports to define the future product - Working with MI
  • Challenge OPD / PD in terms of product design, technical feasibility, spec and performance
  • Clarifies model mix and price positioning (TPVA / TPVI) in correlation with market realities and competition
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders such as Engineering, Program director, Program management office, CPS, AMI Product Planning, Product Marketing, CVE, NML Japan etc.
  • Challenge OPD / PD in order to secure product competitiveness.
  • Clarifies market position, consumer benefits and target audience for all advertising, marketing and merchandising messages
  • Develops briefing for Marcom, Communications & other stakeholders based on product strategy
  • Coordinates with sales operations in developing tactics in support of sales, profit, and brand
  • Combining current and future carflow plans, incentive charts, and market trends, advertising budgets, product enhancements and competitive actions.
  • Regular update to management
  • Plans and leads internal functional groups and vendor resources to achieve launch objectives.
  • Monitoring of Competition activities, develop industry contacts for Market Intelligence
  • Analyze and report various performance feedback i.e. Grade / Option reporting, Market Mix, EIM rationalization
  • Supervises the actions of Product Managers and Senior Managers reporting to this position, in their contacts with employees and vendors to answer questions or resolve issues.

  • 13+ years of product marketing experience in automobile sector
  • Knowledge of business modelling, pricing and positioning, business finance is desirable.
  • Good understanding of market, competition, segments and technologies
  • Company : Japanese MNC into manufacturing of passenger cars
