About the team

We are embarking on a Cloud Transformation journey across the business to accelerate our use of public and private cloud services at scale.

The Technology function provides IT services to the Fidelity International business, globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, compliance, finance, legal, marketing and customer service functions.

The broader organisation incorporates infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day-to-day basis including data centres, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation.

The Cloud Transformation Office (CTO) is a new organisation within Technology, providing a central office for all cloud transformation activity to achieve the goal of 80% on cloud by 2025 in a way that is sustainable to enable scalability & resiliency with the correct financial, security, audit & compliance controls in place.

The purpose of the office is to help provide a leading light on how we transform & a central source of help enabling teams to reach their cloud potential.

The role

As the Portfolio Engagement Lead you will play a strategic and pivotal management role in the Cloud Transformation Office (CTO) Team, accountable for building relationships with the Portfolios (ISS, WPFH, Corporate Enablers and Tech 4 Tech) and understanding their Cloud roadmaps.

Your role will be to lead a team that will capture and prioritise incoming business requirements for services and cloud patterns to enable the Portfolios to achieve their Cloud Transformations.

Your role will also be to ensure that the Portfolios are engaged when validating new Cloud services provided by the CTO in a controlled and governed way.

  • Support the development and management of the CTO strategy
  • Maintain a backlog and roadmap of how cloud services will mature over time to meet Business and Portfolio needs
  • Be the voice of the business and cross collaborate with various parts of FIL to validate new processes, services etc
  • Be the Cloud engagement point for all portfolios to provide seamless and easy access to Cloud Services, as well as facilitate best option decisions
  • Manage the demand of use cases with the larger priority of the business
  • Prioritise and understand the different use cases put forward by the business and their interdependencies
  • Collaborate with the portfolios to understand their needs, how success is defined and ensure that
  • Align the portfolio requirements & vision to the Cloud Strategy with business functional stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Enhance and improve the internal processes related to demand management, resource management, project delivery, platform releases and ongoing operational support
  • Deploy a multi-disciplinary approach to solving business challenges and unlock new streams of business value through cloud-based projects
  • About you

  • Strong leadership and communication skills at a senior level within both technology and the business
  • Functional knowledge of large-scale IT processes and strong experience in dealing with a complex matrix environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively across FIL’s global network to draw out issues to be addressed and to navigate complex decision points
  • Ability to understand, translate and develop combined business and technology roadmaps with a focus on dependencies between what the portfolio will deliver and what the CTO will deliver
  • Strong understanding of cloud products and the value they bring
  • Knowledge and experience of working with leading Cloud providers (AWS, Azure)
