Job Description

Custom Structured ASIC Engineering team within PSG (Programmable Solutions Group) develops next generation Intel structured ASIC products based on patented via programmable technology.

We are looking for a candidate who can lead and develop a physical design team. The candidate will lead a team responsible for the implementation of complex Subsystem, ASIC, and SoC.

The candidate will perform all aspects of the design from technical readiness, PPA target, high-level design to synthesis, Floorplan, place and route, CTS, timing, power, physical, and reliability signoff to create a final design database for manufacturing.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies including BU, architect, logic design, design verification, DA, methodology, DFT, and silicon validation to drive the best timing, power, area, reliability, and testability goals.

As a manager, the candidate is expected to set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance.

May also review vendor capability to support development. Selects develops and evaluates SoC design engineers to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

  • BE / MS / Ph.D. in Electronics / Electrical Engineering with 10+ Years' experience in physical design, timing closure, and physical integration / signoff.
  • Should have multiple tape-out experiences including tape-outs in the latest technologies.
  • Candidate must have experience of managing 2-3 tape-outs from RTL to GDS.
  • Proficient in physical design industry-standard EDA tools such as ICC2 / DC / Primetime / PTPX, low-power, and physical verification.
  • The candidate should be strong in communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in delivering highly complex physical design tape-outs.
  • Able to drive physical design methodology improvements with cross-functional teams.
  • Should be a self-starter, able to drive tasks to closure.
  • Previous management experience is desired.
