Payments Solutions Manager

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage a team in supporting UK Payments and GLCM

Requirement Management : Project scoping

Design : Participate in the technical design

Reviews : Review of project artefacts

Quality : Ensure quality objectives are met

Client interaction Communicate with the client regarding project progress, resolve issues related to delivery of projects

Ensuring that the delivery of projects into the live system meet the agreed quality expectations, and are compliant with all relevant internal instructions and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behavior

Ensuring that any issues, or risks, highlighted in testing are addressed in an appropriate manner, and are escalated as required

Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking into account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operational procedures and practices, management restructures and the impact of new technology

In conjunction with the Compliance Department, to implement the group Compliance policy by containing Compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department.

The term Compliance embraces all relevant Financial Services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply

To adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS (bold items must haves)

  • Proven analysis expertise in an IT role
  • Experience of working with colleagues across different locations
  • Good understanding of risk management
  • Experience with the UK payments domain to include CMA / Open Banking, faster payments, BACS and CHAPS
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders
  • An understanding of IT systems
  • A broad understanding of IT hardware, software, operations and networks to include mid-range / server based, Mulesoft API and cloud based implementations
  • An understanding of all stages of application development process from specification and design, development and testing through to implementation and training
  • An understanding of the project lifecycle, tools and methodologies used in the Group to include Risk Based Project Management, System Development Lifecycle and Agile
  • Communication and inter-personal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for IT investments and alternatives in the language of the business
  • Self-motivation and initiative
  • Find logical solutions to problems and manage to resolution
  • Proven ability to prioritise competing demand
  • Familiarity with Google cloud services ideal
