Key Responsibilities :
Preparing strategy and plan for Azure cloud tenant design and its integration with Azure cloud
Identify key elements of enterprise cloud tenant
Have an individual point of view on the design and architecture of key components / elements of Azure cloud tenant as well as components of DevOps, Data Platform, Mops, Data Science workbench, API management, Load balancing, Firewall, Cloud Security, Application hosting
etc.
Coordinate and participate in meetings involving AWS and Azure teams, facilitating a productive
discussion for cloud platform design
Work with the InfoSec team to understand and ensure necessary controls are included in Azure
cloud design
Work with data teams to understand and ensure optimal design for data storage and data
exchange across Azure and AWS
Work with the EA team to understand and ensure best practices and standards are included in Azure cloud design
Review and validate design and architecture artifacts on behalf of the Worley Digital team
Oversee the implementation and rollout of Azure services
Help Worley Digital team understand and evaluate best-managed services / Azure option and ensure its governance is in place
On an ongoing basis once the foundation Azure tenant is set up and other components of digital
platform is built, the Azure cloud architect is expected to support the client’s digital team across
projects and portfolio to arrive at the best technical architecture for cloud deployment, architectures, BoM, infrastructure costing for internal projects and external proposals, etc.
Desired Skills :
Proficient with Azure and overall understanding of Azure
Strong hands-on Microservices design and deployment, Kubernetes or OpenShift
Hands-on experience in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet
Prior experience of working with IAC tools like Terraform / CFT
Strong scripting language experience in Python and Shell
Hands-on complete design / implementation of CI / CD processes
Strong understanding of cloud delivery models Public, Private, and Hybrid
Hands-on experience in cloud assessment and migration
Must be a Certified AWS Solution Architect
Hands-on knowledge of logging and monitoring services via tools such as Graylag, Syslog, New Relic, Prometheus, Nagios, etc. is a plus
Hands-on experience in SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, and PostgreSQL is a plus
Should have 10 + years of IT experience, and last 5 years in the above areas
