The primary responsibilities include Reinsurance Financial Reporting for US domestic close
Responsible for US GAAP close on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Work responsibilities primarily are :
Assumed Prepare Recurring / Non-Recurring Journal Entries
Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Data Validation
To perform & ensure that all accounting records for local and US GAAP are booked meeting timeliness & accuracy
Resolving ad hoc queries or further analysis from internal management
Interact with various areas within the organization to ensure timely and accurate financial
Develop good understanding of reinsurance financial reporting (on self-paced basis and with Manager’s help)
Ensure compliance with GAAP reporting guidelines set by GAAP standards and AIG
Management Reporting for Reinsurance Finance
Key Capabilities and Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree / Chartered Accountant / MBA (Finance) with strong experience in reinsurance financial reporting & accounting
Preference given for good understanding of reinsurance accounting & reporting
Knowledge of reinsurance accounting and reporting, ability to analyze data for inaccuracies and drive corrections to processes as needed
Strong analytical and practical problem solving skills with good organizational skills and attention to detail
Self-control and stand-alone abilities
Sound Microsoft office skills including MS-Excel, Word and Outlook
Good verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated record of consistent strong performance
Flexible for shifts during close period to work along with our US office
18 months in current role
Should not be on active TIP or Verbal warning
